Justin Bieber may not be considered a man in many eyes, besides his millions of young fans, but he is a true leader in the music industry, proving anyone can make it big no matter what their age is. No one knew the whole story till his movie, Never Say Never, came out and exposed all the work he had gone through to be where he is. After, unsuccessful attempts at winning music contests and getting people to notice him, someone over 1,500km away, finally saw him on a social networking site where the media really shapes people: YouTube.com. The media shapes people in negative and positive ways and Justin Bieber has been a victim of both. It seemed as though every boy was copying his hair cut and every girl had his T-shirts and dolls but as his fame grew, so did the media’s hate.
Magazines, blogs, and talk shows everywhere hated on Justin and gave no mercy. An account on Twitter said, “Justin Bieber is not a good singer, he’s ugly and he should not be in the music industry, he just does it for the fame!” people went crazy over this. Other Tweeters agreed and said that they wanted him to die while a few strong fans stood up for him and even some Music industry icons backed him up. Another tweeter that same day said, “I don’t care what anyone says about Justin. #yourrealfansloveyou”. The argument continued and never fully came to a rest. The media reacts to things like this and takes advantage of societies negative feelings for Justin and pushes them even further. MailOnline.com published an article revealing the details on the buzz everyone is talking about: Justin’s paternity test. Mariah Yeater, a twenty-year-old Justin Bieber fan claims the seventeen-year-old popstar is the father of her child. Justin’s lawyer quickly got in touch with Yeater’s eternity to get the situation annulled.
The media can throw its hits and punches at any celebrity but one can only dodge them for so long. Justin Bieber has handled it all exceptionally well for starting out in the business so young. He’s truly proved himself to be the man that his fans across the world expect him to be and blown everyone away. He has never broken down in public or interacted with a hating Tweeter or magazine. Justin Bieber has stayed strong and posed with his chin held high.
