You’ve seen Sam’s shoes. Constantly in the hallways people are telling him he needs new shoes. Even Mr. Grosdidier won’t allow him to wear them in his gym class anymore. You probably didn’t know,however, that Sam is a very talented artist!
Sam’s talent began in Kindergarten when he decided to draw rather than do his work. Today his passion for art continues. He draws mostly cars, 1970’s or muscle cars. The photo shown is a car he made up during math class. He had grown up around cars- hence why he draws cars. Sam is asked frequently if he really did draw that, and yes his art is definitely 100% by him, no tracing or copying. His inspiration is Chip Foose, who draws cars as well. Both of them are very gifted in their ability.
I asked Sam what his future occupation might be, he responded, “I honestly don’t know yet.” Then I asked if he could see himself having art involved in his career. He replied,“maybe.”
Robby Henderson described his drawings as, “Unique, and you can tell he spent a lot of time on them.”
Olivia Brown suggested that Sam should sell and showcase his artwork at Fall Fest. When asked what she thought about that, Lindsay Zoz, responded, “Yes, I would support it.”
Sam’s talent definitely deserves to be recognized by the newspaper staff. Look how far he’s come; his work is for sure a work of art!
