Have no fear, Lizzy Weers is here…with amazing artwork to aid. Lizzy is a freshman this year at LJHS and is very talented. She favors the Japanese styles of art, excelling in Anime and Manga.

Thinh Nguyen says, “Her drawings are very creative and I hope she continues.” She has fans all over the school. How lucky!
When asked about how long she’d been into drawing she said, “I’ve been drawing since fifth grade. I started because I thought it would be fun. With lots of practice, I was able to get where I am now.” Lizzy shared that her favorite style is Anime, but she’s skilled in Manga too.
Manga is a term used for the pictures in a Japanese comic books that can be read from back to front, and Anime is a type of Japanese cartoon. They both are cartoon-like drawings where the ears are traditionally lower than the eyes. Normally, the character has spikey hair and wide eyes.
In her opinion of Lizzy’s art, Olivia Brown says, “Her drawings are always unique and pretty. She has lots of talent and she is good at what she does.”
